village grew up alongside the important bridge over the River Teviot.
Close by, overlooking the village green, you'll find the Auld Cross
Keys Inn which enjoys an exceptional reputation in the area for
good food and excellent ales. The premises were built in 1800 as
a bakehouse, later becoming a coaching inn.

a break in the Scottish Borders whatever your interests. It is one
mile from Minto (and its golf course), Hawick 5 miles, Jedburgh
6 miles. Edinburgh, Newcastle and Carlisle all approximately 50
miles away.
